When testing out the Subscriptions for notifications, I noticed that sometimes the counter doesn't increment. When refreshing the page it still sometimes doesn't show another notification.
Checking the database, I can see that it doesn't always create a new notification when someone is mentioned in a comment/a post is updated to mention someone again.
Steps to reproduce the behavior
- go to develop.human-connection.org
- open another browser
- mention the other user
- see if the notification is created
- Profit
So far, I have been unable to replicate this on staging and we haven't had any reports in production, which leads me to believe it has something to do with Subscriptions.
Expected behavior
A notification should be created every time someone mentions another, even if that notification doesn't update the notifications list in the NotificationMenu
